A panel of health professionals will be at the Kyle Area Chamber of Commerce (KACC) luncheon Tuesday from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the recently-opened, 5,000-square-foot Plum Creek Golf Course clubhouse.
The panel will lead a conversation on current work and the growing needs in the area for hospice care and home health services. The panel will consist of Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) Hospice Public Relations Coordinator Lisa Adams, CTMC Hospice Director Linda Lopez , CTMC Home Health Director Carol Trafford and Dr. Tim Kay of Central Texas Medical Associates.
This event is in recognition of National Hospice and Home Health Care month in November.
“National Hospice/Palliative Care Month provides a wonderful opportunity for care providers across the country to reach out to their communities and help people understand the special kind of care that hospice and palliative care professionals and volunteers offer,” said J. Donald Schumacher, National Hospice Foundation President.
Said KACC President Jason Tarr, “As the fastest growing community in Hays County, it is important that we continue to seek out and highlight partners like CTMC Hospice Care and CTMC Home Health that can provide the expanding health care service needs for our growing population.”
The program is open to the public and will also feature a networking opportunity starting at 11:30 a.m. Cost for the luncheon is $15.00 with an RSVP or $20.00 at the door. Kyle chamber members will be offered a $5.00 discount on each rate. Lunch will be provided by Beth Watson of Our Lady of the Lunch.
