Mendez Elementary School held a successful Family Fiesta Night recently, with more than 200 in attendance. Participants included family, teachers, staff and students.

The evening featured face painting and jewelry making. Pinatas were hit, songs were sung and attendees appeared to enjoy themselves. No fiesta would be complete without snacks, and the evening included a requisite amount of popcorn and nachos.

Volunteers from Randolph Brooks Credit Union, Texas State and the Gary Job Corps helped out with the festivities.
