Tickets are on sale for the Central Texas Medical Center Foundation’s annual Stars of Texas Gala on Sunday, Oct. 11 at the San Marcos Conference Center.
In its 17th year, the fundraiser will be headlined by Grammy Award-winning country music star Lee Ann Womack. The event will be emceed by KVUE TV morning anchor Melissa Gale.
“We are very grateful for all of our sponsors and those who made donations,” said foundation coordinator Jerilyn Miller. “It is because of their generosity that we are able to fund the needs of the hospital and therefore the needs of our community.”
The event also includes a silent auction for packages that include a private dinner for eight with State Rep. Patrick M. Rose at Cool Mint Cafe; an Ultimate Beauty Experience Package from the Dermatology and Skin Laser Center valued at $2,250; golf and lunch for four at the Tapatio Springs Resort and Conference Center; and a Girls Night for ten at William Edge salon in New Braunfels.
Proceeds from this year’s gala benefit the hospital’s new Women’s Center, slated to open in late November as a part of a $35 million expansion project. The 64,000-square-foot addition will also include a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and a new cardiac telemetry inpatient nursing unit.
