State of the City address set for Oct. 15

San Marcos Mayor Susan Narvaiz will give her fifth annual “State of the City” address on Oct. 15 at the City of San Marcos Conference Center, 1301 South Interstate-35.  The event is free and the public is invited to attend.

The event will be held in the Veramendi Ballroom at the Conference Center, in conjunction with the annual “Information Fair.” A reception will follow the mayor’s address.

Narvaiz’s will focus on the financial status of the city. She also will speak on major goals, achievements and challenges for San Marcos. She also will present the “Spirit of San Marcos” awards and special recognition to several citizens and youth organizations.

The accompanying Information Fair will feature special exhibits by city departments, city partners, Texas State University, San Marcos CISD, business and community organizations and other groups.
