Updated: All county’s low-water crossings now open

UPDATE 11:38 a.m. FRIDAY, SEPT. 11 | The Hays County Road Department, which is monitoring low water crossings on county-maintained roads in Hays County, has now opened the four low water crossings that flooded Thursday.

The Hays County Road Department, which monitors low water crossings on county-maintained roads in Hays County, is in the process of closing three low water crossings.

  • Wayside Drive at the Blanco River near Bendigo Lane
  • County Road 1492 at the Blanco River in the City of Wimberley
  • Hidden Valley Road at the Blanco River between Flite Acres Road and Spoke Hollow Road

These are three of the four low water crossings that were closed Wednesday for several hours due to flooding, making it dangerous for motorists and pedestrians to cross. Status of county-maintained low water crossings can be viewed here.
