Kyle chamber to show PBS series on web

STAFF REPORT

The Kyle Area Chamber of Commerce (KACC), the nationally acclaimed Public Broadcasting System (PBS) show Small Business School and Voice of America have entered into a partnership to provide an innovative inside look into the issues that face the small business community.

Business-minded people can now visit www.kylechamber.org and click on the Chamber TV link to access the programming. Short excerpts of the nationally televised PBS Small Business School program are available and are changed every day of the week.

Small Business School is a weekly, half-hour television show that first began airing in 1994 on PBS-member stations in the United States. In 1995, it also began airing on select IBB Voice of America TV (VOA) stations around the world. Cable stations run the program throughout Canada, Latin America, South America, Africa, the Middle East, New Zealand,  Poland, China and more.

The show is broadcast every Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in the Austin market on KRLU-TV and Sunday at 12 p.m. on KLRN-TV.

“We are continually searching for innovative avenues to provide real value for the members of the Kyle Area Chamber” said KACC Board President and small business entrepreneur Jason Tarr, who went on to say that, “In good times and in bad, Chamber of Commerce organizations have worked tirelessly to address barriers toward success that confront business entities as they seek to provide resources for their employees, families and community”.

To learn more about why the KACC received more awards at the 2009 Texas Chamber of Commerce Executive Convention than any other chamber in Texas, visit www.kylechamber.org or call the office at (512) 268-4220.
