Strutters strut their stuff

The world renowned Texas Strutters.

The public is invited to watch the debut of the 2009-2010 Texas State Strutters on Aug. 26 at 7:30 p.m. at Strahan Coliseum. The event is free and will feature a silent auction on the concourse.

The auction features vacation packages to Ft. Lauderdale Beach Place Towers and Tamaron Resort in Colorado. Additional items include rounds of golf, iPods, designer purses, electronics, water sports packages, a bed & breakfast weekend and much more.

All proceeds will benefit the Strutters’ spring break performance tour to Spain.

The world famous Texas State Strutters have been a lively tradition at Texas State for more than fifty years. They were the first dance team organized on any major university campus in America. They have appeared on every major television network and have appeared at professional football and basketball games, car races and rodeos all across the country.

The Texas State Strutters have been in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and were the first U.S. dance team to perform in the People’s Republic of China. They continue in this spirited tradition and have represented Texas and the United States to millions of people throughout 22 countries and four continents.
