City seeks nominees for women's hall of fame

The 25th annual San Marcos Women’s Hall of Fame ceremony is just around the corner, and the city is seeking nominations.

Nominees should be women who have made meaningful contributions to the community through personal achievement and community service.

If you have someone in mind for nomination, the entry forms are available at the Parks and Recreation office at the Grant Harris Jr. Building, 401 East Hopkins Street. The forms are also available online at sanmarcos.gov. A list of past honorees can also be viewed there.

Gathering information about nominees can include talking to their friends, business associates, church, co-workers and family. The deadline for submission is Sept. 11 at 5 p.m.

Nominations should be submitted in person to the Parks and Recreation Department at 401 East Hopkins. Nominations should be mailed to City of San Marcos, Parks and Recreation Department, 630 East Hopkins Street, San Marcos, Texas, 78666.

The Hall of Fame reception will take place at the San Marcos Activity Center, 501 East Hopkins Street, at 6 p.m. on Oct. 25.
