Barton calls Precinct 2 community meeting

Hays County Precinct 2 Commissioner Jeff Barton (D-Kyle) has called his second annual community meeting for Saturday, Aug. 22, at Elm Grove Elementary School just outside of Buda. The meeting will begin at 10 a.m.

The meeting is intended for all interested constituents in Precinct 2, which includes all of the Buda area and most of the Kyle area.

“It’s a two-way information swap,” Barton said. “I want to brief my constituents on what the county’s doing, but I’d also hope for feedback and opinions. While not every issue impacting Hays County can be discussed in a day, I plan to go over topics that have been of high importance to citizens in the past year.”

Barton will discuss roads, taxes, the upcoming budget, healthcare, parks, and conservation, among other topics.

Barton also hopes to receive feedback from Precinct 2 constituents on the county’s 2010 budget and priorities.

Elm Grove Elementary School is located at 801 South FM 1626, about a mile south of the intersection of FM 1626 and FM 967.
