CASA seeks conference vendors

STAFF REPORT

The Texas Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) organization is holding its 20th Annual CASA Conference at the Embassy Suites Conference Center in San Marcos Oct. 7-10

The theme is “A CASA for Every Child.” CASA is seeking vendors to present products and services to attendees, which will be a mix of  executive directors, management staff, state agency employees, lawyers, judges and community volunteers.

The participants in the conference will be interested in goods and services that will assist them in their jobs.

Texas CASA is part of a national movement that trains volunteers to be a voice in court for abused and neglected children. It has evolved into one of the largest volunteer organizations in the country.

CASA volunteers act as fact finders, providing information that judges need in order to quickly move children from foster care into permanent homes. Last year, 5,259 CASA volunteers helped 20,451 children. Texas has the largest CASA network in the country, with 68 local programs operating in 203 counties. CASA is a non-profit organization.

Vendors interested in participating in the conference can visit CASA’s website at www.texascasaconference.org. For further information, exhibitors can contact Juliet Castenada at (512) 473-2627 or email her at jcastaneda@texascasa.org.
