The Texas State men’s and women’s cross country teams will be hosts to two meets this fall.
The Texas State Invitational and the Texas State Classic both will be held in San Marcos at the Gary Job Corps facility with courses ranging from 1.5 miles to 5 miles.
The first of the two meets will be the Texas State Invitational, which will take place on Sept. 5. The invitational will feature university, high school and junior high divisions. The meet will begin at approximately 8 a.m. with the university men running the first race. The last race of the day will be the junior high girls, who will run at 11:20 a.m.
The Texas State Classic will be held on Oct. 3, featuring high school and junior high runners only. The Class 4A-5A varsity boys will start running at 9 a.m., with the junior high girls ending the day with their race at 11:20 a.m.
The Bobcat men’s and women’s teams will run four meets during the regular season, starting with the Texas State Invitational. Other meets will be run at Texas A&M, Oklahoma State and Incarnate Word in San Antonio. The Southland Conference meet will take place on Oct. 31 at Corpus Christi, while the NCAA regional will take place on Nov. 14 in Waco.
