Last respects for Judge Warner

A motorcade for the late Hays County Court at Law Judge Howard Warner went down Hopkins Street Wednesday afternoon.

County employees stood outside the Hays County Courthouse to pay Warner their last respects as his hearse drove past. The county closed its offices Wednesday afternoon so employees could attend his service took place Wednesday afternoon at at Tejas Hall, located in Texas Old Town in Kyle. Warner will be buried Friday in Lewisburg, TN.

Warner died on July 18, due to cancer. He had been Judge of Hays County Court at Law No. 1 for the past 27 years, and was highly respected by local attorneys and jurists. At the time of his death, Warner also served as chairman of the Hays County Juvenile Board and chairman of the Bail Bond Board.
