Water main breaks on Hopkins – again

A six-inch water main broke on Hopkins Street Sunday at about 2 p.m.

Crews worked through the afternoon to repair the damage.

The geyser sent water well above the building line at Guadalupe Street.

Sunday’s main break was at least the third on Hopkins Street in the last six months. Two other main breaks have occured in an alley near the site of Sunday’s break.

A water main break brought a little moisture to Hopkins Street Sunday, even if it was the wrong kind.
