CTMC auxiliary plans fundraiser

STAFF REPORT

The Auxiliary of Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) will hold its “Masquerade Fundraiser” in the hospital’s main classroom on June 26 from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

CTMC is encouraging the community to purchase any of the several items that will be available, including purses, scarves, jewelry and watches. Many of the items will be on sale for $5 or less.

“We are so grateful for our volunteers and the time they spend helping our patients as well as our staff,” said CTMC Administrative Director of Human Resources Debbie Cox, “They are a true blessing to everyone at CTMC. The money they raise allows us to purchase items the hospital is unable to budget for.”

All proceeds from the fundraiser and the CTMC gift shop go into the auxiliary’s fund. The auxiliary then chooses items at the end of each year to purchase for the hospital from a list of needed items.

The auxiliary, which has been active for nearly 50 years, is made up of approximately 90 volunteers, 35 junior volunteers and 40 hospice volunteers. For more information about volunteering with CTMC, call Volunteer Coordinator Belinda Gardner at (512) 753-3865.
