San Marcos Mayor Susan Narvaiz proclaimed June as Cheatham Street Warehouse Month in recognition of its 35th anniversary.

Cheatham Street Warehouse started several performers in the music business, such as George Strait, Todd Snider, Charlie Sexton, Randy Rogers and Terri Hendrix.

Accepting the proclamation were Cheatham Street Warehouse co-founder and President of the Cheatham Street Music Foundation (CSMF) Kent Finlay and CSMF Vice President Gregg Andrews.

Cheatham Street’s anniversary will cumulate from June 26-28, with its BigFest! 09 music festival.
