Tyler Sibley, the Texas State freshman right fielder, was named this week to the Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American team.
Sibley, from Frisco, set the Texas State and Southland Conference single-season records for runs scored this year with 77. The previous Texas State record was 66, set last year by Thomas Field. The previous league record was 74, set by Ben Broussard in 1999.
Sibley batted .367 for the Bobcats this year, smashing 10 homers and driving in 38 runs while stealing 14 bases.Email | Print
