STAFF REPORT
The Central Texas Writing Project at Texas State will present a series of Young Writers Camps for students in July. Students must be between the ages of 6 and 18 to participate.
The cost for the sessions will be $225 per child, or $200 if two or more siblings are enrolled. Campers will meet at Texas State’s San Marcos and Round Rock campuses.
The goal of the camps is to give all participating students, regardless of skill level, the chance to compose in a variety of styles and become more self-confident in their own writing ability. Students will also learn to appreciate the writing ability of others.
Dates and times for the camps are as follows:

July 6-10 and 13-17
9 a.m. to noon
Ages 12-14
July 6-10 and 13-17

Ages 15-18

A new SAT writing preparation camp will span four Saturday sessions on July 25, August 22, September 26 and October 17. Times for these sessions will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
