San Marcos seeks input on traffic calming devices

STAFF REPORT

The City of San Marcos Transportation Advisory Board (TAB) is inviting the public to participate in a presentation and discussion of traffic calming devices on May 26.

Traffic calming devices are used to enhance pedestrian safety. They can take the form of raised crosswalks, curb extensions and diverters, along with other methods.

The presentation will include a discussion of current practices and a review of various traffic calming devices used throughout the country. The TAB is seeking citizen input for proposed policies, projects and implementation.

The meeting will be held at the Fish Hatchery Building, located at 204 C.M. Allen Parkway, at 7 p.m.
