The Texas State football team will make three appearances this fall on the Southland Conference Television Network’s schedule announced this week.
Unfortunately for Bobcats fans, only one of those games is a road outing. The Nov. 7 game at Central Arkansas is the only televised Texas State game that won’t be played in Bobcat Stadium.
The first Texas State game to be televised will be a Sept. 26 game against Texas Southern. The Bobcats also will be televised at home on Nov. 14 against McNeese State.
The league’e 11-game television schedule will open on Sept. 3 with Western Illinois at Sam Houston State. All the games on the schedule are set for 6 p.m. starts.
“We’re very excited about the second season of Southland Network programming,” Southland Conference Commissioner Tom Burnett said. “The league had more total television productions in 2008-09 than ever before, and the Network will feature even more live football this year.”
The Southland Network expects to announce affiliate agreements in the coming weeks. Additionally, the broadcast schedules for basketball and other sports will be released at a later date.Email | Print
