Pets of the Week @ the animal shelter

STAFF REPORT

Cat of the week.

Eva is a very pretty long-haired cat. Her coat is sleek and lovely and she is solid black. She is about five years old and has a very mature personality. She likes to be petted, but does not like to be carried around. She will be content to sit beside and watch TV with you, while you pet her and feed her treats. She has a bit of an overbite, which causes her “fang” teeth to show most of the time. The broken tooth and the overbite are kind of odd looking, but they don’t affect her ability to eat. She eats dry food with no problems and she is maintaining a healthy weight. Her ID number at the shelter is 53227.

Dog of the week

Brandon is a cute little fox terrier mix. He is full-grown and weighs about 20 pounds. He loves to climb. Several times a day, he climbs to the top of his 6-foot chain link kennel and just hangs there. A yard is not required for him, but he would enjoy a place where he could climb trees and other obstacles.

Brandon is very sweet and likes people and other dogs. He walks well on a leash and is moderately active. He only climbs when he is alone and no one is paying attention to him. Because of his climbing, he will probably need to be crated or placed in an empty room when he is left alone. If he is left alone outdoors, he will climb out of almost any fence you have.

Brandon would do best with a moderately active person who is home a lot or who could take him along for work or on errands. Brandon is heartworm positive and will need to be treated by his adopter. After his heartworm treatment, he would probably be a good candidate for agility training.  His ID number at the shelter is 53464.
