Chamber hosting seminar for minority-, women-owned businesses today

The San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a seminar today for small business owners on obtaining Historically Underutilized Business certification from the State of Texas.

The status helps minority- and women-owned businesses obtain contracts with the government and private companies that employ a diversity supplier program.

The program will be presented by Yolanda Strey, a HUB specialist in Texas State University’s HUB Outreach program. She is Texas Purchaser and Texas Purchaser Manager certified.
