Due to recognition ceremonies for its employees, some Hays County offices will be closed on May 6 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Offices planning on closing during that time frame include the County Judge, Justices of the Peace Precincts 1-1, 1-2 and 2, Constable Offices in Precincts 3 and 5, the Judicial District Court Administrative Office (court will still be held), Human Resources, Grants, Compliance/Collections, the Treasurer’s Office, Tax Assessor-Collector offices in Buda, Kyle, Dripping Springs and San Marcos and County Commissioner Precincts 1 and 4.
Hays County recycling centers will also be closed on May 5, so staff can attend training classes.
It is possible other offices could close during the three hour time frame on May 6. The county encourages the public to call a specific office first, if planning to visit during that time.
