STAFF REPORT

The Kyle Police Department (KPD) arrested Elpidio Alcorta Ledesma, 24, Monday on suspicion that he murdered his ex-wife.

KPD received information from San Antonio police that Ledesma was possible heading towards Kyle after stabbing Cecila Ann Ledesma multiple times and running over her with a blue 2006 Hyundai, in the 11000 block of Interstate-35 in San Antonio. The victim was found dead at the scene.

Shortly after the broadcast, KPD Office Zach Castilleja was patrolling the area near the suspect’s residence in the 100 block of Decker, when he observed three males standing behind the residence.

Upon approaching the rear of the residence, Castilleja observed the blue Hyundai parked in the rear, with evidence of damage to the front end and windshield.

Castilleja then drew his weapon to detain the three individuals, and in the course of investigating the trio, the suspect identified himself as Elipidio Ledesma.

Ledesma was then transported to KPD headquarters to be interviewed by San Antonio detectives. Upon completion of the interview, Ledesma was booked on murder charges in the Hays County Jail.
