Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) is expecting a record number of participants at the annual community-wide health screening, HealthCheck, on April 23 from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the hospital’s main lobby.
A complimentary shuttle service will be provided to alleviate parking congestion.
As construction continues on the 64,000-square-foot addition to the campus, parking will be limited at CTMC. The HealthCheck shuttle parking will be across the street from the CTMC facility, located on the north side of the Starplex Cinema. Signage located on Wonder World Drive will provide directions to the parking area.
Shuttle service will be offered from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., puicking up and dropping off participants every 10 minutes. Attendants will be available in the parking area to provide directions and information about shuttle schedules and assistance for the handicapped. The shuttle is handicapped accessible.
During HealthCheck, CTMC discounts the cost of $400 worth of blood analysis to a minimal $30 for all participants. The blood analysis includes glucose, total cholesterol, HDL/LDL, white blood cell count, triglycerides and hemoglobin.
For additional health information, the following will be provided: Prostate Specific Antigen blood test ($15), Thyroid Stimulant Hormone blood test ($15), Carotid Artery Screening ($15) and tetanus shots ($20).
Those who participate should fast for 12 hours before their blood draw.
