Texas Meter & Device Company was hired by the city to install the 3,500 new meters. Apartment complexes will be the first to have them installed. Customers can expect brief service outages of one minute for electricity, and ten minutes for water during installations.
Customers that have medical needs or special condition can call (512) 393-8313, as can businesses that wish to reschedule installation.
