Plum Creek prepares for ‘Front Porch Days’

Front Porch Days, the Plum Creek subdivision’s yearly festival that draws about 5,000 people, is scheduled May 2-3 this year.

Front Porch Days is hosted by Plum Creek’s homeowners’ association and Benchmark Development, the community’s Austin-based developer. For more information, visit www.frontporchdays.com

Saturday, May 2

8:30 a.m.

  • Four-person scramble golf tournament: 8:30 a.m.

10 a.m.

  • Garden Tour

Sunday, May 3

6 a.m.

  • Race registration

7 a.m.

  • 5k

8:30 a.m.

  • 1k

9 a.m.

  • Soapbox Derby for Diabetes (to 1 p.m.)

11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

  • Face painting
  • Food and craft booths
  • Inflatable games
  • Jigglebug Express
  • Petting zoo
  • Pony rides
  • Washers Tournament
  • Pie Baking Contest (noon)

Kids Stage

  • The Bruce Curtis Band – noon – 12:45 p.m.
  • Rockaroni and Cheese – 1-1:45 p.m.
  • The Hey Lollies – 2-2:45 p.m.
  • The Biscuit Brothers – 3-4 p.m.

Cowboy Stage

  • Lewis Moon Roch Motel – noon-12:4 5p.m.
  • The Jeremy Miller Band – 1 – 1:45 p.m.
  • The Nematoads – 2 – 2:45 p.m.

    Slight change to the music portion.
    The Nematoads had to excuse themselves from the festivities.
