STAFF REPORT

San Marcos Mayor Susan Narvaiz presented a proclamation that named April 14, as “LBJ Centennial Recognition Day,” to Texas State President Denise Trauth, in honor of President Lyndon B. Johnson’s one hundredth birthday.

That same day, Johnson’s daughters, Luci Baines Johnson and Lynda Johnson Robb, will present the annual LBJ Lecture on the Texas State campus at 5:30 p.m.

Texas State is the only university in the state to graduate a U.S. President, and has celebrated several events in honor of his birth during the past academic year.
