San Marcos CISD’s Pre-College Dialogue Series finished on March 26 with a free workshop called, “College Life & Succeeding in College.”
The workshop, held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the San Marcos High School cafeteria, was for grade 8-12 students and their parents, including a presentation and door prizes from A+ Federal Credit Union, and discussion of college terminology, dorm life, opportunities in college, the difference between high school and college, college campus resources and smart financial choices.
Pizza and childcare were provided for attending families.
The dialogue series is jointly sponsored by Texas State, the P-16 Council, Upward Bound, Caminos, the Multicultural Programs Committee, Seeking Opportunity Achieving Results (SOAR), the Texas State Parents’ Association and San Marcos CISD.
