BEA launches United by Secrets campaign

STAFF REPORT

The Bobcat Equality Alliance (BEA), a Texas State student organization, is sponsoring the first annual United by Secrets campaign this week.

A board will be placed between the LBJ Student Center and Alkek Library where students can anonymously share their secrets. Secrets can be written on a note card, then placed in a dropbox. The secret will be posted an hour later.

Said BEA President Maira Wasley, “The purpose of this campaign is to show the student body that no matter our gender, race, sexual orientation or other classification, we are all united together through our secrets.

The board has already generated responses from the student body.

“It was a great experience for me,” said participant Robby Hesselbrock. “It really feels good to share something I’ve never shared before, and to see how many other people’s secrets relate to me.”
