The commissioners court is continuing its development of a “greenprint” to guide planning for parks and conservation growth in Hays County that considers both quality of life and economic development issues.
Citizens are invited to an April 1 meeting at the Wimberley Community Center from 6:30-8:30 p.m. to provide input using an interactive mapping model that was completed following the first greenprint meeting in fall 2008. The maps help delineate areas based on water quality and quantity, parks and recreation opportunities, protection of sensitive ecological areas, cultural and historical resources, scenic corridors and conservation of farm and ranch lands.
Directions to the Wimberley Community Center, 14068 Ranch Road 12, are at http://www.wimcc.org/html/contact_us.html.
