Rain forces Bobcat baseball, softball sked changes

The frequent rains moistening San Marcos in the last couple days have forced a change in the schedule for the Texas State baseball team’s series this weekend against Sam Houston State at Bobcat Field.

The game originally scheduled for Friday night has been moved to Saturday, which will become a double-header day. The first game Saturday will be played at 1 p.m. with the second game to begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.

Sunday’s series finale will be played, as scheduled, at 1 p.m.

The Bobcats are 3-0 in the Southland Conference and 9-4 overall.

In addition, rain has forced schedule changes for the Texas State softball team, which also is home this weekend. The Bobcats will play Southeastern Louisiana at 4 .m. Saturday, then the two games will play a double header Sunday starting at 10 a.m.

Texas State is 15-9 overall and 6-3 in the Southland Conference.
