Bobcat lacross club up to 7-2

The Texas State lacrosse club beat Boston College, 15-14, last week.


Texas State’s club lacrosse team is 7-2 overall after a 15-14 win at home last week against Boston University.

The Bobcats are playing at home Thursday night against Minnesota-Mankato (7 p.m.). The Bobcats play their home games at the west campus soccer facility.

The Bobcats scored seven first quarter goals for a 7-1 lead against Boston University. But the Terriers rallied to within 10-6 at the half and 15-14 with 3:30 left before the Bobcats ran out the clock.

Junior attackman Matt Malcolm led Texas State with five goals and an assist. Midfielder Kevin Clark scored three goals with an assist for Texas State.

The Bobcats will play two games in St. Louis during next week’s spring break.
