Buda brothers plead guilty to assaulting 93-year-old

Two Buda brothers face 15-year prison sentences for their role in the mugging of a 93-year-old man last fall.

Forrest Kubsch, 21, and Ethan Kubsch, 18, pled guilty to first-degree felony aggravated robbery of Allie Wright. Two other defendants, Johnmichael Swann and Christopher Garcia, both 19, are awaiting trial on identical charges.

The four were arrested Sept. 3 shortly after the robbery at 901 Garrison Road. Wright was not seriously injured.

The brothers already had criminal records, the Hays Free Press reported in a story published today on its Web site. In January 2008, Swann, Forrest Kubsch and a juvenile allegedly stole jewelry, electronics, alcohol and cash from two homes in the Bonita Vista neighborhood, Capt. Bo Kidd, the Buda patrol chief, told the Free Press.
