REALTORS® to bowl for scholarship money

STAFF REPORT

The San Marcos Area Board of REALTORS® is sponsoring a benefit bowling tournament on March 13 from 4-7 at Sunset Lanes.

The tournament will benefit the Corporal Michael W. Davis Scholarship.

Davis, a 2002 graduate of San Marcos High School, was killed in Iraq in 2007 by a roadside bomb. All proceeds will go towards the scholarship that was named in his honor. Davis’ widow, Taryn Davis, subsequently founded the American Widow Project, which is touring the nation to raise awareness about the plight of contemporary war widows and widowers.

Cost per player will be $25, or $100 for a team of four. The cost includes games, shoes and pizza. Sponsorships are also available at all levels. The vent is open to all ages.
