County taking nominations for Above and Beyond award

Hays County wants to you to say which of its employees go the extra mile for citizens.

Nominations will be open for the county’s “Above and Beyond” award through March 5 by 5 p.m. The winners will be announced during County Government Week in April.

“Hays County employees provide quality service to our residents and visitors and contribute significantly to the success of our County, as well as to the health, safety and welfare of our community,” said Hays County Human Resources Director Dee Dee Baen. “We want to take the time to recognize those employees who demonstrate exceptional customer service, innovation, dedication and willingness to do more than what is expected.”

The “Above and Beyond” award program is in its second year. Previously, a citizen review panel recommended five recipients and the recognition is limited to one percent or less of the total employee population.

Nomination forms are available in county offices or online. Forms can also be faxed to (512) 393-2227, or emailed to Susan Davis. Those wishing to hand deliver nominations can drop them off at the Human Resources office on the second floor of the county courthouse.

All other forms should be postmarked by March 6, and mailed to the Hays County HR Department, 111 E. San Antonio Street, Suite 201, San Marcos TX, 78666.
