The Texas State softball team played the 19th ranked Texas A&M Aggies in the first-ever game at the new Texas State Softball Complex. The Aggies were held to two hits, both home runs, and the Bobcats countered with great offensive play and great pitching from Senior Katie Garnett. This game was decided in the bottom of the seventh inning, when junior Leah Boatright hit a walk-off single that scored senior Alex Newton. The Bobcats improved their record to 6-4 with the 3-2 victory.
Texas State will head to Baton Rouge for the LSU Purple and Gold Classic this weekend. Your next chance to see the Bobcats at home will be on Feb. 28, when they play a double-header against the McNeese State Cowboys.
