Wednesday is one of the big ones for amateur football operations throughout Texas. It’s national letter of intent day, on which high school recruits are first able to sign scholarship offers from which ever colleges they choose.
It’s a telling day for the high school programs, as well. Football fans in Texas, loving to follow players from the high schools and into the colleges, will see where the best preps ended up. On an annual basis, Texas sends more football players off to Division I football scholarships than any other state.
