St. David's cuts ribbon in Kyle

STAFF REPORT

The Kyle Area Chamber of Commerce (KACC) officially welcomed St. David’s Urgent Care Kyle Wednesday with a ribbon cutting ceremony. St. David’s Urgent Care Kyle, a department of St. David’s South Austin Hospital, opened its doors on Dec. 1.

“Since we opened, we have seen more than 400 patients at St. David’s Urgent Care Kyle, with conditions ranging from the flu to broken bones,” said Noel DeSapio, R.N., director of St. David’s Urgent Care Kyle. “The Kyle community has truly embraced this service.”

Immediately following the ribbon cutting, St. David’s Urgent Care Kyle held an open house, including free glucose and blood pressure screenings, as well as tours of the new facility.

Physicians and staff at St. David’s Urgent Care Kyle treat patients with non-emergent conditions during standard business hours, after hours and on the weekends without the wait of a hospital emergency room. St. David’s Urgent Care Kyle includes a six-room clinic with X-ray and a lab.

“The Kyle area is still experiencing tremendous economic development,” said KACC Executive Director Ray Hernandez. “We welcome St. David’s Urgent Care Kyle to provide additional medical service and amenities for our residents.”
