No school until Tuesday for San Marcos CISD

San Marcos CISD students will be out of school until next Tuesday, due to a convergence of teacher development time and a national holiday.

The students will be off Friday, which is a professional development day for San Marcos CISD staff. That’s a day off for the students, but not for district personnel.

Monday, San Marcos CISD will observe Martin Luther King, Jr., Day, a national holiday. All campuses, departments, and offices will be closed.

But take heart, kids. You’ll be back in school next Tuesday, Jan. 20, when all San Marcos CISD campuses, departments, and offices will be open.

That evening at 6 p.m. is the regular monthly school board meeting in the Central Office Boardroom at 501 South LBJ Drive. Because January is School Board Appreciation Month, the district will hold a special reception from 5:30-6 p.m., honoring the San Marcos CISD trustees.

The hosts will be the student delegates of the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council. The public is invited.
