Luci Baines Johnson, the daughter of the late U.S. President Lyndon Baines Johnson, will be the keynote speaker at the annual “Have a Heart for Hospice” luncheon, sponsored by the Central Texas Medical Center Hospice Advisory Board.
Johnson will speak on the value of community service and its effect on her life. Proceeds from the Feb. 9 luncheon will go to the building fund for a CTMC Hospice Bereavement Center. The luncheon will run 11;30 a.m.-1 p.m., at the Embassy Suites and City of San Marcos Conference Center on McCarty Lane in San Marcos.
“We’re very excited about Ms. Johnson joining us this year,” said Ellen Ault, luncheon co-chair and CTMC Hospice Advisory Board member. “Central Texans have such a personal connection to the Johnson family that we’re even relocating the event to accommodate the larger audience we anticipate Ms. Johnson will draw.”
The event also will include numerous opportunities for door prizes. Individual tickets cost $40. Group ticket and sponsorship opportunities range from $180-$475. For more information, contact Lisa Adams at (512) 754-6159.
