KPD looking for robbery suspect

KYLE – Police are looking for a woman suspected of robbing the IBC Bank in the H-E-B Plus! on Kyle Parkway Saturday afternoon.

The Kyle Police Department (KPD) is looking for a suspect described as a heavy-set, white female in her 40s wearing a ball cap, a long sleeve shirt with various designs and dark colored pants.

KPD secured physical evidence from the scene and obtained digital photographs of the suspect from surveillance videos.

At approximately 2:29 p.m. Saturday, KPD was dispatched to a report of a bank robbery at the IBC Bank at corner of FM 1626 and IH35 in Kyle. Upon arrival, officers met with bank personnel who said they had just been robbed.

According to bank officials, a white female with a ball cap approached a bank employee and asked for change. As the employee accommodated the request, the female handed the employee a note saying. “This is a robbery. Don’t look up.”

The suspect then advised the bank employee that she had a partner who was watching her.

The bank employee handed over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect, who left the bank and walked out into the parking lot.

KPD is investigating the possibility of this suspect being involved in other similar bank robberies in the central Texas area.

KPD is asking that anyone with information regarding the suspect to call Detective Larry Honeycutt at (512) 268-3232.

This photo taken off the security surveillance video at the IBC bank shows the woman being sought by police in connection with the bank robbery.
