The City of San Marcos will break ground on a new Central Fire Station on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at 4 p.m. on location at 100 Carlson Circle. The public is invited to attend.
Mayor Susan Narvaiz, members of the City Council, City Manager Rick Menchaca, Interim Fire Chief Len Nored and San Marcos Fire Rescue will participate in the ceremony to inaugurate the construction of the $5 million facility by Stokes Construction Company of San Marcos.
The new Central Fire Station will be built on 3.99 acres in the River Ridge subdivision and house fire apparatus bays, fire administration, training room and other facilities.
