Hill Country ‘Good Gathering’ Food and Toy Ride

Area pedi-cab company, “Movemint Bike Cab”, is asking the Hays County community for food and toys! The Hill Country ‘Good Gathering’ Food and Toy Ride will be collecting goods for local agencies: Hays County Area Food Bank, Southside Community Center, and San Marcos Police Department’s Blue Santa projects for the holiday season.Troops of volunteers on bicycles, bicycles with trailers and pedi-cabs will collect all goods and deliver them to appropriate agencies around San Marcos. Event organizers David Knipp and Chad Williams, of Movemint Bike Cab, would like to assist with as many charity drives within the San Marcos/ Hays County community as possible.

If any volunteers wish to become a part of the Hill Country ‘Good Gathering’ please contact David or Chad at goodgathering@gmail.com. The open invitation is to anyone who wishes to celebrate the “gift of giving” back to our wonderful community.

The community can drop off non-perishable food items, toys, blankets and toiletries at various drop-off points around San Marcos until December 6th. The drop-off points are Tantra Coffee House, Z Media Solutions, Zookas Burritos, Alvin Ords, Showdown, Zen’s Pizza, Grins, Texas Skate, The Yellow Store, Tref’s Tavern, The Cornucopia, Gardenville, Jo on the Go and Valentino’s Pizza, et al. Drop-off participants will have a Drop-off sign at their locations. Other local businesses will sponsor the volunteer bicyclists with food and bicycle supplies.
