‘Advocates for business and sensible policies’


October twentieth through twenty-fourth is Chamber of Commerce Week in Texas. On Tuesday October 21, the City of San Marcos will declare Chamber of Commerce week in San Marcos, Texas. During this week, all of the citizens of San Marcos, Texas, are asked to pause and reflect on the many contributions made to our community through the efforts of the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce.

The San Marcos Chamber of Commerce and its members improving your community by creating jobs, implementing beautification programs, improving education, calling for improved streets and highways, and stimulating industrial, commercial, and retail growth. Chamber members support many civic, religious and cultural organizations in an effort to give back to the community.

Through the guidance of outstanding business leaders, there is a long history of accomplishment in San Marcos that is the result of the support and involvement of the San Marcos Chamber.
Look throughout the community and you will find many current and past board and committee members of the San Marcos Chamber that have given countless hours of volunteer service and much financial support to the institutions that serve those most in need in our community.

Today the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce is moving forward – looking for new opportunities, forging new collaborations and partnerships and taking a leadership role in the direction of our community. The Chamber is strong at 1100+ members and is getting stronger day by day as businesses increasingly recognize the value of getting connected.

Now, more than ever, it is necessary for the Chamber to lead our business community, helping us stay focused on the positive, keeping members abreast of issues that affect their welfare and the welfare of their employees. We must be advocates for business and sound, sensible policies that lay the groundwork for a vibrant and diverse economic future.

The San Marcos Chamber of Commerce has many levels of membership: student, individual, non-profit, and basic to premium business members – all of which come together to work hand in hand, on the issues that face our community.
