The Texas Southern Tigers came to town this weekend for Texas State’s final non conference tune-up. The Bobcat’s offense was hitting on all cylinders and the defense came up with some crucial stops against a much improved Texas Southern offensive attack.
Texas State was lead offensively by Junior Bradley George, who threw for 281 yards and 3 touchdowns, and Karrington Bush, who had 112 yards rushing on 5 carries. Cameron Luke was George’s main target through the air catching 5 passes for 162 yards and 2 touchdowns. Stan Zwinggi and Alvin Canady also got in on the scoring, both Running Backs ran for more than 60 yards and a touchdown.
The Texas State Bobcats carry a 3-2 record into conference play after this 63-39 victory, and they travel to Lake Charles, Louisiana this Saturday to take on the McNeese State Cowboys.
