Rattler JV Squad Plays In Varsity Atmosphere

The San Marcos Rattler JV white team took on the Austin Regents Knights varsity football team. The varsity game atmosphere was a great experience for the young Rattlers, but the high octane Knight offense was too much for the inexperienced Rattlers.

The teams battled to a 7-6 score after one period but the varsity squad from Austin proved too much in a 48-6 loss.

The Rattler offense led Stevie Dow, Isaiah Fiegel, Michael Armstead, and Eloy Baeza were able to move the ball for most of the night but had problems putting the ball in the end zone.

The defense led by Ricky Hernandez had a difficult time grounding the air attack of the Knights. Although outmatched the Rattlers fought to the end and did an excellent job of representing San Marcos High School.

Special thanks to Ronnie Robledo for story contribution.
