The San Marcos Chamber Business Expo held on Thursday at the San Marcos Activity Center was well attended and supported well by all business professionals in our area.

The Expo included events that varied from the Expo Luncheon that featured keynote speaker, Richard Perez, President and CEO of The Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber then held a Ribbon Cutting to open the expo immediately after the luncheon.

The Business Expo ran from 1 to 5 p.m. and over 80 members had booths to exhibit their products and services. The Expo featured businesses from our area which included, A+ Federal Credit, Austin Community College-San Marcos, Alzcare Assisted Living, Andrade Business Consultants, LLC, Appearance Plus, Bartlett Tree Experts, Bear Creek Coffee, Best Buy, Broadway Bank, Business Hygiene, Inc., Butler Manufacturing Co., Carma Texas Inc., Central Texas Life Care, CenturyTel, Chuck Nash Automotive, City of San Marcos, Coldwell Banker, CTMC, CTMC Home Health ,CTMC Hospice, Culligan Water Conditioning, Danny Webber Realty and Lending Associates, Deans Shop, Economic Development San Marcos, Edward Jones, Efficient Barrier, Embassy Suites, Gary Job Corps, Glass With Class, Grande Communications, Hampton Inn & Suites, Heartland Payment Systems, Honda of San Marcos, Housecall Computer Services, Josiesque Designs, Max Services, McGlothlin’s Carpet, Merrill Gardens, Money Mailer Centex, Newstreamz San Marcos ,Prime Outlets – San Marcos, Randall Morris & Associates, Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union, Red Simon Ford, ResCare Home Care, Ruiz Financial Group, LLC, San Marcos Baptist Academy, San Marcos CISD, San Marcos Daily Record, Schertz Bank & Trust, Second to None Upscale Retail, Servpro Cleaning Services, San Marcos Auto Outlet, San Marcos Toyota, SparkNet Creative, Synergy Financial Group, Tanger Outlet Center, Time Warner Cable, Texas State Community Relations, United Way, Rodney VanOudekeake, Will Conley, Vitalogy Skincare, Wells Fargo Bank Texas, and Texas Workforce Center of Hays County.

Tracy Herman of Merrill Gardens said, “This is a very successful event and its great for the companies here in San Marcos. The chamber here does a good job helping all of us network our services.”

The Expo also featured a Procurement Fair from 3 to 5:00 pm and guests had the opportunity to talk to experts and purchasing agents from the City, County, local manufacturers, Texas State University, Embassy Suites, SMCISD and others.

The event closed with a Chamber Business After-Hours Mixer from 5:30 to 7:00 pm, the Mixer was open only to Chamber members and their guests as well as prospective members. The mixer provided extra networking opportunities and exposure for exhibitors at the event.

  1. Hey Rodney, you are looking really good! I am behind you all the way for Justice of the Peace. For anyone undecided, vote for Rodney. His knowledge, experience as a police officer for 20+ years and his fairness cannot be duplicated. Good luck Rodney!

  2. Speaking of great candidates! Met Bill Huddleston, running for Sheriff of Hays County. Wow! Talk about a leader with experience we can all be proud of!! We need a change over at the Sheriff’s department, someone like Huddleston who cares about the citizens and the deputies.
