Lockhart, TX 78644Lockhart, TX – To recognize October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the Caldwell County Family Violence Task Force is hosting their Seventh Annual Community and Professional Educational Conference on Family Violence. The Caldwell County Family Violence Task Force is a coalition of community organizations and individuals dedicated to educating the public about family violence. Our membership consists of victim services, law enforcement, prosecutors, juvenile and adult probation, legal services, the medical community, youth services and concerned citizens.
Conference attendees will:
Gain new insight on Texas laws affecting victims of family violence.
Examine the unique and complex issues of youth/teens and domestic violence.
Uncover feelings and beliefs surrounding commonly held myths of abuse.
Explore the link between family violence and animal cruelty.
Network with other concerned citizens and professionals on effective ways to reduce domestic violence.
