Newstreamz hosted a free advertiser’s only networking event recently at Redwood Springs Assisted Living in San Marcos. The event was scheduled to put local business owners and leaders in the same room to discuss local issues and see how each can help one another grow and extend their network in this community.

“As my first network meeting in San Marcos, it was great to hear other people’s issues and actually being able to help another business. Hearing people excited about my business and finding out how we can help each other, well that’s a great network,” said Dan Olson of ZMedia.

The group focuses on buying locally and shopping local with San Marcos area vendors that range across all products and services.  In addition to exchanging business leads, the group will take the time to learn about each member business and occasionally listen to guest speakers.

‘This is a great opportunity for business people to make valuable contacts,” said J. Ronald Oswalt, of Newstreamz. “Its one more way we can give back to those advertising with us.”

This initial meeting was well attended and is expected to grow.
