Fire Department units responded to a call off Ranch Road 12 and Rancho Encino Drive that reportedly began around 2:00 PM today and continues to burn.  Fire and rescue units from San Marcos, Kyle, Buda, and Wimberley are reportedly on site fighting the blaze.

Lieutenant Leroy Opiela  of the Hays County Sheriff’s Office says that two structures and two automobiles have been affected and there are no reported injuries.  Jen Fulkerson, Public Information Officer for the Texas Forest Service reported that over 140 acres have been affected by what was presumed to be an unattended cooking fire.  An unconfirmed report by a neighbor claims that it began with the remains of what was a bonfire last night.

Newstreamz correspondent Andy Sevilla is onsite and will post information as soon as it becomes available.
